Mehmet Nayir

Managing Partner

Mehmet is a Managing Partner with extensive experience in journalism, public relations and management across various international companies and initiatives, including the public sector. He started his career as a journalist and an energy and economic correspondent for mainstream media in Turkey from 2007 to 2014. After that, Mehmet worked as an advisor to the Ministry of Energy and the Prime Minister of Turkey, where he managed media relations and international company engagements. Since 2018, he has been advising clients in the UK and Europe, providing consultation on investments in the energy, hospitality, F&B, aviation and finance sectors. Mehmet holds a degree in International Law from the City University of London and Global Energy Politics from King's College.

Dr. Ayse Zeynep Nayir

Dr. Ayse Zeynep Nayir holds a BSc in Mathematics and Economics from the London School of Economics, an MSc in Economics from the University of Birmingham, MA in Economics Reference to Middle East at SOAS and a PhD in Economics from SOAS, University of London. She has advised energy companies, social policy organizations and various charities on development issues. Dr. Nayir’s research focuses on macroeconomic policies, the political economy of development, and energy. She also leads the Echos Education Advisory Team. Dr Nayir is the consultant of Echos.

Aysat Orujova

Hayrullah Ekiz

Consultant - Solicitor

Hayrullah Ekiz is a qualified solicitor in the UK and Turkey, specialising in private and international law. He completed his legal education with a full scholarship at Yeditepe University and holds a master’s degree in international Energy Law from City University London and a master’s degree in Private Law from Galatasaray University. Throughout his career, Hayrullah has gained extensive experience in high-value commercial cases and served as legal counsel at a leading energy company in Turkey. He is registered with the Law Society of England and Wales and the Istanbul Bar Association. Hayrullah is the consultant of Echos.

Mertdogan Ziya

Mertdogan Ziya is a seasoned tax consultant who began his accounting career in 1979. In 1986, he co-founded, Chartered Accountants and Auditors, providing accounting, taxation and corporate services for over 25 years. His areas of expertise include international trading operations, family-managed businesses and property construction and development. Mertdogan is the consultant of Echos for tax affair.

Begum Arandia

Operations Manager

Begüm Arandia graduated with honours from Marmara University Faculty of Law. She began her career at a leading corporate law firm in Istanbul, gaining broad experience in advising companies across multiple areas of law. Admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association in 2019, she has since provided comprehensive legal consultancy to businesses and now oversees operational and legal processes at Echos Consultancy.
